The data already shows an increase in users treating LLMs as confidantes, seeking advice, and sharing personal information with a level of trust that borders on delusion. This isn’t about augmenting human interaction; it’s about replacing it with a cleverly coded echo chamber. The developers seem to be actively encouraging this behavior through these probing questions, effectively turning a productivity tool into a sophisticated, emotionally-vulnerable support animal—a digital substitute for genuine human connection, and frankly, a rather unsettling one at that.
